Expedit’s personal data policy for the processing of personal data in connection with recruitment
When you send a job application to a company in the Expedit Group (hereinafter “Expedit” or “we”), you are asked to familiarise yourself with Expedit’s policy for processing your personal data. This applies regardless of whether your application is unsolicited or on the basis of a job posting.
Your personal data may, if necessary, be transferred to other consolidated companies in the Expedit Group, all of which are located within the EU/EEA.
The purpose of collecting personal data about you in the recruitment process is to assess whether you are a qualified candidate for a vacant position at Expedit a/s.
When you apply for a job at Expedit, we receive and process a range of personal data about you. This makes us the controller of the personal data that we process about you.

Expedit’s processing of personal data
The personal data you provide in connection with the submission of your job application or otherwise as part of a recruitment process will only be used and stored for use in the completion of a recruitment process, and, if applicable, in connection with hiring.
Expedit processes your personal data with the required security and confidentiality, in accordance with the applicable personal data law.
When we receive your application
In the recruitment process, the personal data contained in your application, CV and other submitted documents is registered.
This typically comprises the following data: Name, address, date of birth, gender, telephone number, e-mail address, marital status, education, work experience, driving license information, recommendations/references.
The basis we use for this processing is Article 6 (1) (b) of the Data Protection Regulation, as this is personal data that you have sent to us for the purpose of obtaining employment.
We register the submitted data in our personnel administration system.
We assess your application
For applications submitted on the basis of a job posting, we specifically assess each individual applicant’s qualifications in relation to the job posting. Once we have read the applications, we select candidates for employment interviews.
In connection with unsolicited applications, the applicant’s qualifications will be assessed in relation to a possible job opening.
Once we have selected you for an employment interview
In connection with the employment interviews, we receive additional data about you, which we note for use in the further recruitment process.
The basis we use for this processing is Article 6 (1) (b) of the Data Protection Regulation, as this is personal data that you have provided to us for the purpose of obtaining employment.
Transfer of personal data to third parties
If we use external suppliers of personality tests in connection with the recruitment process, you will be informed accordingly once we have processed your application. The results of such tests will be handled confidentially.
Transfer of your personal data to any third parties will be performed in accordance with data processor agreements with the applicable parties, which comply with the applicable rules.
The basis we use for this processing is Article 6 (1) (a) of the Data Protection Regulation, as your personal data will not be transferred without your consent.
Collection of data and references
As part of the recruitment process, we will often seek data about the applicant or applicants we deem to be best qualified. In this regard, we often seek relevant available data from the internet, including social media.
As Expedit has a legitimate interest in finding the best suited candidates for a job at Expedit, we can collect references from former employers, educational institutions or other relevant parties. No references will be collected without your consent.
Special (sensitive) personal data
Expedit does not collect sensitive personal data (including health data) without your express consent. In connection with your application, you are encouraged to provide information about any health conditions of significant importance to your ability to perform the job for which you are applying.
We recommend that you do not provide sensitive personal data in your application and CV, such as data regarding racial or ethnic background, religion, sexual orientation, etc.
If Expedit finds it relevant to obtain a criminal record, you will be asked for this.
Storage and deletion
If you are hired by Expedit, your data will be stored in accordance with our personal data policy for employees. You will be informed accordingly.
If you are not offered employment, we will delete the data we have registered about you within six months. However, we delete the results of any personality tests immediately after we have provided you with a rejection of your application.
Your rights
You have rights under the provisions of the Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act.

Right to see data (right of access), article 15
You have the right to access to the data we process about you, and certain other data.
Right to correction, article 16
You have the right to correction of incorrect data about you.
Right to deletion, article 17
In certain cases, you have the right to deletion of data about you at an earlier date than the time of our standard general deletion.
Right to limitation of processing, article 18
In some cases, you have the right to limit the processing of your personal data. If you have the right to limit the processing, we may only process your data – apart from storage – with your consent, or for the purpose of establishing, exercising or defending a legal claim, or to protect a person or important societal interests.
Right to objection, article 21
In some cases, you have the right to object to our otherwise legal processing of your personal data.
Right to transmit data (data portability), article 20
In some cases, you have the right to obtain your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, and to have this personal data transferred from one controller to another without hindrance.

Complaints to the Danish Data Protection Agency
